It’s no secret that pineapples are absolutely everywhere right now. My problem used to be that I needed more pineapple paraphernalia, but now the issue is to not wear it head to toe. I was super excited to shoot this dress, not just because I’m in love with it, but because it was my first shoot with my new photographer, Jessica Smith of Smith Photos + Ink! She’s super talented, so much fun to work with, and just gets it. We’re a match made in heaven and I’m thrilled to announce that she’ll be the official photographer of TK&PD!!! Take a look at how amazing she is in my new favorite shoot below.
When I saw this dress at one of my fave local boutiques, II Brunettes, it was all over. Not only is it covered with everyone’s favorite trendy fruit, but I adore the colors, low back, and swingy silhouette as well. It also kind of reminds me of what my sister, Jordan of luxe & staple, made for me for my birthday (as seen here), which makes me happy too.
When it came to styling this dress, less was definitely more. Because the dress is so beautifully busy, I just went with neutral wedges to let the frock do its thang. I also kept jewelry pretty minimal with some white geometric earrings, a couple gold midi rings, and my starfish cuff. However, I couldn’t resist pattern mixing with my Clare V. clutch and adding a pop of color with my blue mirrored aviators. If I weren’t overaccessorizing, who would I even be?
I topped off the look with clean white nails and a bright pink pout for another little pop of color, making this the ultimate summer ensemble. What do y’all think?
