I’m so excited to share with y’all some big updates in the wedding planning process – our venue and hashtag! In my proposal post, I mentioned that we actually toured our dream venue the morning before we got engaged, so the first thing we did when things settled down a bit the next day was called and booked it. Time is of the essence, especially when it comes to Charlottesville wedding venues! We’ll be saying I do at Castle Hill Cider next October, and we are so excited!!
Will and I both grew up in Charlottesville and our families still live there, so we knew that’s where we had to get married. When we toured Castle Hill, it showcased so much of what makes our hometown beautiful – the mountains, apple orchards, huge maple trees, local cider, and stunning rural countryside. When we toured Castle Hill that morning, we instantly fell in love with it and knew it was ~the one~. I don’t even think we felt so strongly about each other that quickly, haha!
While I procrastinate any other big wedding decisions, I’ve been also focusing heavily on something else that’s very important (kidding, kind of) – our wedding hashtag! Since my last name is Fusselman and his is Gallop, which both provide lots of puns, we kind of had a field day with this. After some brainstorming with friends and countless incredible ideas on my Instagram stories, with some favorites being #worththefuss, #galfoundhisman, and #everydayhesfusselman, we’ve decided on #gallopdowntheaisle! This comes just in time for our engagement party this weekend, so I’m looking forward to finally using it. What do y’all think??
