At the beginning of every year I take a deep dive into my statistics, and my top sellers on LIKEtoKNOW.it are always so interesting to see! Since the pieces are all major wardrobe staples for me (as well as favorites of yours, clearly!), I wanted to share a little breakdown for everyone.
As a surprise to no one, the denim shorts above were my number one best seller of 2020. I talk about these babies all the time, and have mentioned before that I think they’re one of the best “investment” pieces for your closet. Since they’re obviously a bit pricier, a lot of folks (myself included) are hesitant to buy them. But I’ve had mine since summer 2017 and they’ve held up so well, remain super flattering, and are still super classic. Before I had these, I would probably get a new pair of $25-50 jean shorts every 1-2 years, and they wouldn’t last or look good the next year. So finally I figured I’d splurge on something that would last forever, especially since I wear them so much! If you’re finally ready to pull the trigger, snag a pair here. For sizing, order true to size for more form fitting shorts, and size up for more of a boyfriend/comfy fit. I now have a 26 and 27 for different vibes 🤣
A close second on my best sellers list was this tie dye lounge set. I mean, pretty accurate for 2020, right?? For the price, quality, and subtle colors, this set is a no brainer for testing out this trend. I love how it’s thick enough that it doesn’t look too much like pjs so I can wear out of the house on errands. Grab the top here and the bottoms here. For sizing info, this set is true to size/even a bit baggy but the top is slightly cropped (I have it tucked in the photo above). I have a small in both, although a medium top would have been a little comfier for hanging around the house!
Yet another on the list that is in no way shocking: my ride or die leggings and biker shorts from Amazon! This cult favorite brand is widely considered to be a perfect dupe for align leggings from Lululemon, but I love them way more than anything I’ve gotten from there – not to mention they’re a fraction of the price! They are butter soft, have just the right amount of compression, AND most of them have game-changing side pockets. I can’t wear anything else now! Get the shorts (seen above) here, and the leggings here. For sizing info, I’d get true to size if you’re going to be mostly lounging, but size down for running/extra compression. I have extra small for exercising and small for sloth days.
Finally a curveball! I posted about my go-to lip a few times last year, and you all must have loved it too. Although an outlier on my list (guys am I a beauty blogger now?), this universally flattering lip liner from Charlotte Tilbury has a huge cult following. I originally posted about it because it’s what I wore on my wedding day with the matching lipstick, but then I started wearing the liner alone and I love how natural it looks. First I line my lips and then I fill them in with the liner, and it stays forever! Occasionally I’ll also top with a balm or gloss for a less matte look. Try it for yourself here!
Last but not least, something I wore nearly every day in 2020 😅 The infamous Amazon faux fur slippers! Since I spent so much time at home, I had to treat myself to a fun new pair of slippers, and I’m so glad I did. These are so luxurious for the price, and I love all the colors they come in. They’d also make such a good gift for Valentine’s Day, or just for someone in your life that could use a smile right now! Pick up a pair here. For sizing info, I’m a 6.5 and have the size small!
